Ideas for clutter free gift giving:

• savings bonds for children
• gift cards for groceries and gasoline
• gift cards for restaurants and stores (choose establishments the receiver likes and that you believe will still be in business a year from now)
• museum or state parks membership
• tickets to entertainment events
• certificate good for a movie and dinner with you
• certificates good for services provided by you, such as babysitting, cleaning out the attic, mowing the lawn, washing the car.  (Children can give services to their parents).
• plant a tree in honor of someone 
  
• perishable items such as flowers and food
• items that will be used up, such as coloring books and crayons, hobby supplies (I love receiving tennis balls), stationery
• certificate good for home organization
