Mail Box Theft

If you have a check stolen from your mailbox, file a police report.  This will help  track down the thief and will help protect you if a business tries to make you responsible for the check.

Avoid this scenario by mailing checks at a post office rather than putting them in your mail box to be picked up.  Also paying bills online will minimize this risk.
