What to do with school papers
Date Posted: Aug 01, 2009
First: Rather than
having the papers that come home from school pile up on a nearby
counter, have a specified place to STORE them. One solution
is to use a banker's box, available at most office supply
stores.
Second: At the end of
a grade reporting period or semester, sit down with your child and
go through the papers. Choose your FAVORITE papers to
archive. Write the date and any other identifying information
on the papers you want to keep. Throw out papers that your
child does not need to keep.
Third: Have a
memorabilia box in which you put the favorite papers. This
box should be archival quality. Craft stores often sell
these. Label the box with your child's name. If you are
very selective in what you choose to keep, then the memorabilia box
should hold papers from several years.
